Masters Bayou is a part of Tampa Bay which abuts the Weedon Island Nature Preserve, and a locale where a vibrant Native American culture flourished for at least one thousand years. This book explores myriad meanings in mangrove forests and touches on the complexity of the issues, material and ideological, using photographs, transparencies, and die-cut paper to hide and reveal language, images, and found materials from and inspired by this liminal space.
